Acceptable Foods for School Events

In an effort to provide students with the safest and healthiest learning environment, we have complied an acceptable list of safe snacks that will be offered to the students at classroom parties and celebrations, including Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc. and/or class curricular celebrations. Typically, these offerings are arranged for through our class and grade parents who help to coordinate these school events. No other food items will be offered at these events, and please be reminded that food items will not be accepted for individual student birthdays.
Acceptable Foods for School Events
  • Fruit Platters
  • Vegetable Platters
  • Plain Bagels (nut free; pay close attention to labels to avoid cross contamination - If purchased from a bagel shop, they must be certified nut free)
  • Mini muffins (nut free)
  • Spreadable Cream Cheese
  • Spreadable Butter
  • Juice Boxes/Pouches (made with 100% fruit juice only)
  • Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins
  • Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Chocolate
  • Italian Ices (made with 100% fruit juice only)
  • Plain, unflavored popcorn
  • Baked potato chips
  • Pretzels
Acceptable Foods for Special Considerations
  • Village or Natale’s Pizza (before December holiday recess and last day of school)
  • Dairy Queen Ice-Cream Cake (Grades 1-3 Birthday Club)
  • Frozen Ice Treats in Plastic Sleeves (Grade 3 Field Day)
  • Ice Cream Truck (Grade K & 3 end of year)
