We are so excited to begin planning for International Day on March 14th (snow date March 21st). Last year we had 29 participating countries including: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, India, China, South Korea, Philippines, Russia, Czech Republic, Cuba, Mexico, England, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France, Greece, South Africa, Tanzania, Spain, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Poland, Serbia, Iran, Croatia and Syria.
International Day will take place both during the school day and in the evening from 6-8pm. Participants will be asked to create a trifold with basic information and pictures of the country they choose to represent. Some examples of this include: a map of the country, a picture of the flag, pictures of landmarks, examples or pictures of national dress, samples of currency and information about any major national holidays.
If you are interested in learning more about participating this year, please attend an informational meeting on January 31st at 10am or 7pm in the Hillside Cafeteria. We will provide samples and pictures of the trifolds and displays from last year at this meeting.
We look forward to another fun and educational event. If you are unable to attend a meeting or have questions about the event, please email an International Day Committee member:
